I think I would have family photos taken every season if it were up to me. Having my family captured as we grow and change is a treasure. I absolutely love seeing the differences in my children and the way in which they change with every passing year. It's so fun to see their little personalities caught to preserve for always, and to have a whole set of photos documenting their sweet cheeks and dimply hands.
We ended having to split our session into two sessions. The first round we were chased off by an intense thunderstorm. And we ended up loading up just in time to miss torrential rain and some of the wildest lightening. The second session we were chased by a tractor bush hogging the field. You'd never know we were constantly dodging said tractor, making sure not to get run over. It's comical really, and just adds to the memories looking back on our latest family pictures.
