Christmastime family photos at a local tree farm.
Almost a year ago to the date we found out we were expecting a boy. And this family image was what I immediately imagined - the way we would look as a family of five, mixing up our girls with a little boy. And it felt dreamy. Turn out, it is dreamy.
At the start of December, we headed out to a local tree farm as the sun was starting to drop behind the mountains. We were going to capture our family at the golden hour during the most magical time of the year, and I was giddy just thinking about it. Chelsea, our photographer, had captured my pregnancy with Wells and his newborn photos. So to meet back up 8 months later, felt extra special. How sweet to see the growth and blessings in a single year, especially a year like 2020.
So if there was one thing I really wanted to do as we said goodbye to this year, it was to capture our family. To always be able to look back on five people who had experienced high highs and low lows; who learned to pivot; faced challenges; learned to come together; better understood 'cabin fever'; navigated unchartered territory; learned to make confident decisions that were best for our family; and ultimately came out better for it all. I love these people and photos so much, which is exactly why I am over-sharing. I hope you enjoy them as much as my brood does!
