Our family Halloween costume this year was inspired by the Monster Mash!
I can't believe I've said so long to my favorite month. October, you were a good one! And we can't bid it adieu without recapping Halloween first. Though this year was unlike any other, it was probably my very favorite! Just goes to prove that you can make lemonade out of lemons in a year that has turned us all upside down.
We started the morning out with our Saturday morning donuts, coffee, and finishing up our costumes. This year, we did a mix of DIY and store-bout to bring our family costume to life. We rolled into the afternoon with all the face paint and crazy hair before heading over to our friends' - our little quarantine pod - for a hayride around the farm and trunk-or-treat, before coming back home for a quick hop around our neighborhood to visit our neighbors. And let me tell you, our neighbors are special people; they went above and beyond to make our kiddos' Halloween as special as possible considering the circumstances. Though they themselves were not handing out candy, they had prepared little bags for our babies, whom were delighted to trick-or-treat and receive such sweet goodies. Not only that, but the girls loved showing off their outfits.
Our day was simple and completely sweet. It was the perfect Halloween and our best family costume yet!
