I CANNOT believe the time has come to share a little secret we've been keeping....
Friends, come next spring we will be welcoming a sweet new bundle into our family! Baby #3 is due in late April, and we couldn't be more thrilled for our surprise addition. We're already so in love and smitten with this little's perfect profile, round baby belly, and wiggly fingers and toes. Just like with each of my babies, it never gets old to see our newest love on an ultrasound, hear the healthy heartbeat, and marvel at God's miraculous and intricately detailed work.
Of all the changes coming our way in 2020, I'm most looking forward to our family of four becoming the 'five of us.' Something about that feels so cozy and wonderful. And I love imagining life with my big, my middle, and my little.
This photo of the girls might just accurately depict their feelings about a new sibling, and it makes me and Pete laugh. Greer is over the moon, insists this baby is another sister, and has affectionately named our baby Punkin'. Quinn, on the other hand, doesn't really get what's going on. She's such a mama's girl, though, that Pete and I imagine her expression would sum up her feelings of having to share mama with another sibling. But, the way she lovingly pats my tummy and says "baby," and the manner in which she cares for/cuddles her baby dolls, we suspect she'll happily embrace being an older sister when the time arrives.
Pete and I are just so delighted to experience our girls take on these new roles. It's been such a gift to watch their relationship blossom and grow, making us overjoyed to see our duo become a trio!
