Date nights are far and few between in the Hill house since welcoming our bundle of (now) toddler joy. It's a combination of things that keep us from getting out more than we would like....house projects, mom anxiety about leaving my girl, and a looming thesis/defense deadline (thankful that's done!). Needless to say, when we do get to head out, just the two of us, we like to look a little extra special, dress ourselves up, and find the perfect patio to dine on. And since this mama isn't toting things around for a baby, I love to use a bag that is small enough and stylish enough to hold just my essentials.
Lately, my go-to, hands-free choice is the half moon crossbody by Urban Southern. The greige leather stole my heart at first sight, and the classic lines were perfect for dressing up or keeping casual. Not to mention, it's the perfect size for just the items I need....my wallet, some chapstick, and my bobby pins. No diapers, wipes, or pacifiers to be seen :)
The simplistic design adds to this crossbody's charm. A flap closure is perfect for retrieving an item from the bag with ease, and the adjustable body strap allows you to make the bag as long or as short as you like. Since I'm taller (5'8"), I like that I can wear the bag long to complement my body type, keeping the bag resting right on my hip.
I know a certain someone who has her mama's style taste and is just as smitten with the crossbody as I am. If she could, she'd wear it herself and pack it full of toys and her beloved pacifier. While I love sharing with her, sometimes it's just nice to have a little something for yourself as a mama. Don't you agree??
