Speaking of being glad, I am reminded of the game Pollyanna loved to play, The Glad Game. Taking time on my Friday mornings to collect all the great things from the week, makes me feel like I'm playing my own variation of The Glad Game. Because, while every day might not be marvelous, I can always find something in it to be glad about.
So without further ado, I'm linking up with Momfessionals once again, to find the good throughout my week.
[one] Husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary on Sunday. We were able to celebrate all weekend long in Asheville, North Carolina, and it was kind of the best. I may or may not have watched our wedding video a million times. (PSA: If you're ever looking for a weekend retreat, I say try Asheville; for a little more info check out my first and second post on our trip).
[two] I am so smitten with my "wifey" sweatshirt and I've worn it every day this week. As soon as I get home from work, I immediately put on pajamas and that sweatshirt. It's my at-home uniform.
[three] The leaves have been taking my breath away. I wish they'd stay like this forever.
[four] I found a bag of tiny pumpkins at the grocery store and after having a not so great day, husband didn't even wait for me to suggest we buy them. He just put them in our buggy. True love.
[five] Pumpkin cookies with cream cheese chips are phenomenal! And they're Pillsbury, so when I had no time for baking something from scratch this week, and my sweet tooth was calling, these were perfection. Never take pre-made cookies for granted, ya'll!
[six] I have found a bunch of new (& free!) fall fonts, and this gal is super excited about it. They'll be perfect for a new project I have in the works!
[seven] My house is taking on a Halloween vibe and I'm loving it! I didn't think I wanted to do much of anything for this holiday, but I quickly changed my mind. I'll be sharing all my Halloween decorations next week, so stay tuned!
[eight] Impromptu dinners with family. There's something great about suggesting a meal get together at the almost-last-second and just going with it. It's casual, laid back, and, just what I needed.
[nine] I've found some of the best deals this fall, from kitchen ware to makeup, and I have used all of it nonstop since I purchased them. You can find all of these great fall finds from my post on Wednesday!
[ten] Daytime Blue Ridge, a local noon television show, is going to be featuring one of my favorite fall recipes from my food blog on their show during the last week of October!! Ya'll I was jumping up in down in my seat when I got the news this morning and proceeded to call my husband,, followed by my mom, dad, and sister! Now I'm sharing it with you! This is super exciting for me and I can't wait to catch the show! For anyone local, it's WSLS-Channel 10 at 12:00 p.m.
Now your turn! Play The Glad Game with me, make Pollyanna proud ;) Happy Friday to you and yours!!
