Rain, Rain, Go Away

The sky has been pouring rain for the last 48 hours in my part of Maryland. And if the weatherman is correct, there will be rain for the next 96 hours. Daunting, isn't it? But, there are a few things I appreciate about the rain, such as...

when it begins to rain on a summer day out of nowhere and I get caught in it

because I get to wear my cute navy rain boots 

the pitter patter on a roof as I am trying to fall asleep 

the possibility there will be a thunderstorm accompanying the rainfall (I love thunder and lightening, even when it  makes my heart jump from a bright flash and earth moving boom)

when it gives me an excuse to cuddle up under a blanket and watch movies/read a book

the off chance a rainbow will appear

the way it leaves the Earth so green and the flowers so  plump  after it's gone

So taking in these things, I guess the rain isn't so bad after all, at least not always :)
