This has been my view for the past three days. Foot surgery went well and now I'm in the recovery phase, a very hard phrase. There's the pain, inability to walk around as I please, bout of nausea on a daily basis, and a boot that feels like a concrete block. Those are the negatives. The positives include being able to rest and relax, having my family right here next to me, and the hope that this surgery (it's the second attempt to fix the problem) is successful. For now, I am going to continue to sip Ginger Ale and munch on Saltines, at least until I fall asleep for the umpteenth time today.
P.S. These just arrived from a very special lady (my soon-to-be mother-in-law) and made my whole day. I love surprises, thank you Lynne for putting a smile on my face!
